The Range-wise position of functioning of the PAMS in West Bengal is placed in Table provided herewith. Out of 287 PAMS in West Bengal, 20 have been placed under liquidation and 66 PAMS are non-working, leaving 201 working societies. Out of these 104 are in profit, 97 in loss. Annual General Meetings are held regularly in 154 PAMS while there are elected Boards working in 175 societies. Statutory audit of the accounts have been completed upto 2007-08 in 128 and upto 2008-09 in 5 PAMS, as reported.
