Hon’ble Minister-in-charge, Cooperation & IWT Department and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, West Bengal paid a visit to Birbhum District on 06-06-12 and 07-06-12 and during their visit they held a review meeting with the Departmental Officers of the Range in presence of the District Magistrate, and other District level Officers.
They also visited five (5) Co-operative Societies of different types and discussed with the members of the Societies and the people of those locality regarding present functioning and future planning for rendering service to the rural people.
They visited, Chowhatta SKUS Ltd. at Labpur Kusumjatra Juintha SKUS Ltd. at Sainthia, Bolpur Krishija Bipanan Samabay Samity Ltd., Birbhum Wholesale Consumers’ Coop. Societies Ltd. and Viswabharati Coop. Bank Ltd. at Bolpur.
They paid a visit to the site of WBSCU’s training centre at Bolpur being constructed to facilitate various training to the personnel of Cooperative.
