Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of ‘Samabay Bhavan’ at Paschim Medinipur was held on 30.06.2012 at 4 P.M Shri Haider Aziz Safwi, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Cooperation &IWT Department, Government of West Bengal, laid the foundation tone in presence of Shri Mrigendranath Maity,MLA, Midnapore Legislative Assembly and Chairman,Midnapore Kharagpur Development Authority,Smt.Mamata Bhuniya,MLA,Daspur Bidhan Sabha, Sayeed Ahmed Baba,IAS,Secretary, Co-operation Department, Government. of West Bengal, Dr.Asvini Kumar Yadav,IAS,Registrar of Co-operative Societies, West Bengal.
The members of different women SHGs from tribal areas performed a colourful programme at Vidyasagar Memorial Hall where about 600(six hundred) people from different co-operative societies of the district including the representatives of the SHGs were present.
The ARCS,Paschim Medinipur and other Government officials from Cooperative organisations were present on the occasion.
