The West Bengal State Co-operative Housing Federation Ltd. (hereinafter called as ‘the Housing Federation) came into existence in the year 1965 with the main objective to provide loans to affiliated Primary Housing Cooperative Societies in West Bengal. But started its actual functioning in the year 1966. Subsequently by way of diversification of its business, it has started advance to individuals from 1.1.2001. It is now catering to the needs of common people through its 12 Branches within the State. To provide a decent home to a common man at affordable cost is our prime objective.

It need not be emphasized that Housing problem in both the Urban and Rural sector in the State is quite acute. Housing Federation is trying hard to minimize the problem. But the problem is not being adequately addressed due to lack of fund-flow at low rate of interest. Apex Housing Federation have been considered as one of the best instrument in supplying suitable housing to the homeless people.
